PÜRKAY-BİO 019/01 Polyurethane Self Leveling

Solvent-free, colored, plastic-elastic, self-leveling, two-component polyurethane floor coating material

Characteristics and Properties

PÜRKAY-BIO 019/01 is a self-leveling, solvent-free, two-component, polyurethane-based, plastic-elastic flooring material, produced with sustainable resources. It provides safe use due to its solvent-free nature. Impact and abrasion resistant PÜRKAY 066 PU top coat paint,
where UV resistance is required, PÜRKAY 076 PU top coat paint or new generation water-based PÜRKAY 086 top coat paint should be applied on top.

Also has the following properties:
– impermeability to liquids and resistance to chemicals
– resistance to impact
– crack bridging
– easy cleaning and care (decontamination/ hygiene)

Typical use

Show-rooms, restaurants, offices, shopping areas, production facilities, industrial buildings, warehouses, commercial greenhouses, hospitals. PÜRKAY-BIO 019-01 is part of a polyurethane flooring system, for floor system details please visit our web site www.purkay.com

Technical hints

The mixed material must be used within the pot-life, otherwise irreversible gelation of the product occurs. All equipment must be cleaned immediately after use. Use of protective rubber gloves is recommended.

Pretreatment

The substrates to be applied must be free of loose particles, oil, grease and other impurities. Special attention should be paid to the moisture content of the substrate to ensure that there are no other adhesion problems or undesirable side-reactions. For successful results, concrete substrates should have a moisture content of <5% and application should be carried out at a substrate temperature equivalent to the prevailing dew point plus 3°C. The substrate must be primed with PÜRKAY Epoxy Concrete Primer. Defects must be repaired with PÜRKAY 022/A filler. In case of negative water pressure or moisture content higher than 5% or newly applied concrete, special primer PÜRKAY Epoxy Moisture Barrier should be used. In case PÜRKAY-BIO 019-01 is going to be applied in several layers, the re-coating window between layers should be within 6-24 hours. In places where the 24 hour period is exceeded, the surface should be roughened by sanding (sanding paper or scotch brite).

Application

PÜRKAY-BIO 019-01 comes in two separate cans. The whole content of the smaller can, the ”Hardener” should be mixed well with the content of the larger can, with the ”Main Component”. The mixing of the two components can be done with the help of an electrical mixer, such as a stirrer attached to a power drill. Application of the material can be achieved by help of trowel. The applied surface must be protected from water for at least 8-10 hours.

Note:
Avoid skin contact with Hardener, all soiled equipment and such should be cleaned immediately. Do not induce vomiting, seek for medical advice. Use protective goggles and gloves.
